North West London

Basic to £25 - 30,000 + Benefits

Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk

We are a growing chemicals producer, based in North West London. We are focused on improving the production process, having recently gained ISO 9001/2008 and ISO14001. Due to continuing growth, we now require an experienced, Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for new supplier checks, and maintaining all supplier information is up to date. We invite applications from experienced Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk with experience within a production / manufacturing setting.

Role requirements.

  • Setting up and checking new suppliers
  • Ensure all PO\'s are entered correctly into company ERP by authorised people
  • Entering invoices to the ERP and matching them to the PO on the system ensuring volumes and values are correct
  • Ensuring all supplier information is correct including Contact details, VAT number, Invoicing addresses…etc
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers
  • Work with other departments including the procuring department in regards to invoice queries
  • Expense claims processing
  • Conduct VAT reviews

Experience

  • Previous experience within manufacturing setting
  • Purchase Ledger experience ideally within a mid-size business
  • Previous responsibility for month end supplier statement reconciliations
  • Knowledge of Sage
  • Experience of managing expenses, credit cards and petty cash
