Contract Duration: 12 months +

Maintenance Contract Co-ordinator

My North London-based client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Maintenance Contract Co-ordinator to join them on a contract basis initially for 12 months with the potential to be extended. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the purpose of this role is to manage 3rd party contractors activities onsite ensuring that they all perform maintenance repairs, inspections and testing on site in accordance with the policies and procedures of the business. The successful applicant will be required to ensure contractors are inducted onto the site, their work is managed whilst on the plant, and maintain training records for individuals from 3rd party contractor companies. The post holder must ensure all documentation required is present before, during and after work is completed - this includes issuing risk assessments and method statements to permit issuers no later than 3 days before work commences, supervising onsite workers to ensure all conditions of permit are met and adhered to, inspecting all works prior to contractor departure from site, and collating all sign off certifications.

Applications are invited from candidates who have previously carried out a maintenance planning / co-ordinating / managing role within heavy manufacturing and/or high volume, process driven environments (i.e. automotive, chemical, food, agro-chemical, pharmaceutical, refining, or similar high hazard environment). Candidates must have previous experience of managing 3rd party contractors in a maintenance role, permit to work systems, and working in a 24/7 production / operation environment.

They are looking for a candidate with excellent organisational skills, engineering knowledge and experience of maintaining a wide range of equipment. This is a challenging role; the successful applicant will be flexible, determined and self-motivated, with experience of working with external contractors, ideally alongside an in-house maintenance engineering team. Candidates must have previously carried out a maintenance role, ideally within a process industry.

Please state rate requirements upon application.
