End client: British multinational defence, security, and aerospace company.
Level of security clearance required to start onsite: Must be eligible to obtain Baseline security clearance - BPSS (takes 1-2 weeks)
Working as part of an Integrated Procurement team successfully managing a global Supply chain. WSUK\'s Supply chain covers 3 continents, USA, Europe and Asia. The mission of the Procurement team is to ensure that the right product is in the right place at the right time to support the business key objectives. WSUK has a reputation of delivering on their commitments.
The Principle Procurement Officer will focus on ensuring that the delegated tasks and responsibilities are carried out in support of the Team objectives with full awareness of the success criteria.
The Procurement officers responsibilities include managing day to day outsourcing requirements as delegated by their line manager, this will include but not be limited to managing RFI\'s and RFQ\'s placement of Contracts and managing Suppliers in Contract.
-Reporting to the Procurement Manager or their delegate.
-Operations/Logistics, Finance, Commercial and IPT members
-Other Procurement function team members
-Completion of all delegated objectives on time
-Management of outsourcing requirements
-Managing customer expectations
-Accuracy of data input and extraction from the SAP MRP System
-Structured analysis of supplier information/data and able to provide a business decision/recommendation based on the analysis
-Managing one or more strategic supplier and Work proactively to ensure that suppliers meet their commitments to the business.
-Ensure data on SAP-MRP System reflects agreements with supplier and is used, as appropriate, to review supplier performance within the programme team members.
-Report supplier performance and trends via the Strategic Supplier Review Process.
-Building effective relationships with Suppliers and Internal Customers
-Manage the introduction of changes into the supply chain, working with the Multi-Functional IPT to ensure that issues are addressed appropriately.
-Resolution of supplier invoice queries
-Provide support to team members to ensure success of WSUK\'s Procurement goals and strategies.
-2 to 3 years\' experience in a similar role
-MCIPS or working towards MCIPS qualification
-A career background in Business Management, Legal, Project Management or commercial or Finance.
-Experience of working within a Procurement Role within Engineering design and Manufacturing
-Experience in working in a Customer focussed environment
-There is an expectation that the Principle Procurement officer will continue their formal professional education in progressing from student membership to full membership of the chartered institute of Procurement and Supply
