Lufthansa Technik and MTU Aero Engines join forces in PW1000G maintenance

Following the agreement protocol finalised last September, in which the project feasibility studies were launched, Lufthansa Technik and MTU Aero Engines confirmed their plans to establish a joint venture responsible for the MRO of PW1000G engines (used in the A320 neo and the CSeries and to be used in the MRJ, E-Jets E2 and MC-21). Each of the partners will have a 50% share in the company, which should be established in the second half of 2017.
