Northern Ireland students design experiments for the MARSBalloon project with Thales Alenia Space

Lisburn primary students design and test their own space experiments that could one day be destined for Mars. Experiments fit inside a small capsule and fly on a high altitude balloon, rising to an altitude of 30km - twice the height of commercial airliners where conditions are similar to the surface of Mars.
