OneWeb Satellites is pioneering new value propositions in space through the design and large-scale manufacturing of low-cost, ultra-high performing satellites at high-volumes. Our factory and supply chain are tuned to produce up to 15 satellites per week. These spacecrafts are modular and designed for multiple mission configurations. THE OPPORTUNITY


Airbus OneWeb Satellites is embarking on a cultural transformation - reinforcing Export Control within the organization. You can contribute to this evolution, to ensure that classification is properly understood and applied across the company, key element of the program - and to mitigate any further potential exposure to penalties, debarment, consent agreements etc.


  


YOUR MISSION


As Classification Export Control Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the classification strategy across the Company. You are in contact with all Export Control contributors in the end-to-end Export control process flows and you will propose and organize the company's Export control transformation road map.   



YOUR DAY TO DAY



  • Oversee the implementation of Export Control policies and procedures and update them as required.

  • Work with operational Export Control team.

  • Provide support, advice and training to functions and domains for classification implementation, especially with engineering and any others as required.

  • Provide support to CADM and logistic for storage and access to Export control classification data.

  • Establish and implement a recovery road map as per export priorities.

  • Work with procurement to ensure that relevant Export Control Classification Declaration (ECCD) is obtained from suppliers and records are properly maintained.

  • Continual tracking of the evolution of export regulations and their impact on classification, especially to ensure that changes in Export Control Classification Numbers are properly addressed.

  • As required provide legal support in relation to export control and trade compliance alerts and risk assessments.

  • Reporting to Head of CADM

  • Position will be located in Toulouse

  • Working on a daily basis with both offices: Toulouse and US-Florida



YOUR PROFILE




  • You are continuous improvement mindset oriented.

  • You are organized, action orientated, customer-focused and proactive with a strong attention to detail and enjoy collaborating in a team.

  • You excel at multi-tasking and know how to set priorities in order to meet tight deadlines.

  • At least three years' experience working in engineering and Export Control, classifying products according the US, EU and national Export Control regulations.

  • Classification of Components, Parts Make, Buy.

  • Strong experience of Classification requirements and its application into the business.

  • Good knowledge of US, EU and national Export Control rules and regulations generally.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills; sound business judgement; ability to appropriately involve others in consultations and decisions;

  • Excellent writing skills required to write and edit policies and procedures, reports and memorandums;

  • Strong relationship building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills;

  • High degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust;

  • Languages: Negotiation level in English, French.
