A vacancy for a DELMIA Expert - Centre of competence (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse (Astrolabe site).

As the successful candidate you will join the Manufacturing Systems department.

As DELMIA Expert - Centre of competence (m/f), you will be the beating heart of DELMIA implementation within ?Spacecraft production? across all plants and countries.

You will be from basic usage of the tool to user documentation and automations development.

As Centre of competence (CoC) using your expertise, you will be responsible of the successful deployment of this new technology and process and will be directly the future support in the full end to end 3D digital system of DDMS.

You will be in charge of the broader DDMS solution landscape to provide Europeans solutions for our all users.

Part of the Production Solutions Team, your role of DELMIA Expert and CoC ?goes beyond an advanced user?.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Define the top level ways of working for Spacecraft Production

  • Ensure documentation and applicability of processes

  • Define automation business requirement

  • Gather business feedback

  • Report issues and anomalies to higher management

  • Organise working sessions with peers across the Spacecraft production department

  • Run and organise training sessions.

This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to Master degree level (or equivalent) in manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline

  • Knowledge in manufacturing software tools including DELMIA

  • Having been part of a DDMS (Digital Design and Manufacturing Systems) project with proven successes

  • Having experience of the Airbus Manufacturing Engineering perimeter would be plus

  • Very good presentation skills in order to be clear and concise in front of stakeholder and peers

  • Very good communication and active listening

  • Good knowledge of the available toolsets to be interfaced with within Manufacturing Engineering

  • Ability to drive and lead a development team

  • Negotiation in multicultural environment skills

  • Mind-set and way of working fitting multisite, multifunction working environment defending Production interests

  • Open minded and Digital Cultural Change enthusiastic

  • Language Skills: negotiation level of French and negotiation level of English.
