Payload System Engineer for proposals, projects, and advanced studies - ONESAT ( m/f)

Airbus Defence & Space is seeking for candidates to join our ONESAT program teams.
ONESAT is the AIRBUS innovative telecommunication satellite product, based on a flexible payload, a key asset to develop our space communications business.
The project is at the forefront of technological development in telecom both on ground and in space. Its inherent efficiency relies in particular on on-board reconfigurable active antennas, powerful digital beam-forming and processing and on efficient resource management and configuration systems, allowing to configure the spacecraft according to different operational scenarios.
As part of this project, we are seeking for potential candidates in Payload System Engineering Management) willing to join Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Tasks & accountabilities
You will be involved in advanced performance assessments for ONESAT payload and will contribute to payload operational tools design through the development of payload models. In particular these activities include signal processing, simulation and modelling tasks, based on Matlab/Simulink tools. You will participate to different phases of the ONESAT product life cycle, including proposals/negotiations projects and product characterization activities.
The tasks will include participation to customer dialogues, understanding of requirements, preparation of analyses, assessments of payload settings according to mission demand.
You will interface with customers and suppliers, as well as institutional bodies (CNES, ESA, EU) for development projects.
In this context, you will develop a thorough understanding on digital and beam-formed payloads in terms of architecture, performance and operations. You will be part of a functional team lead by a system or payload engineering manager.
The main activities deal with advanced payload characterization (Onesat or similar), including development of payload models and simulations, mainly for digital active antenna and digital processor based payloads.

A Master degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, microwave, radio communications engineering
