A position of Automation / Robotics Assembly Group Referent (m/f) has just opened at STELIA Aerospace and will be based at the Méaulte industrial site.

You will be a member of the Central Industrial Methods department under the direct responsibility of the Central Industrial Methods Manager.

You will be responsible for cross-functional management covering this activity for all STELIA Aerospace industrial sites. As part of STELIA Aerospace's increasing pace and transformation towards the Industry of the Future, the Industrial Management is strongly committed and wants to develop its vision in the field of automation, robotisation and industrial robustness in order to increase its efficiency and to be able to succeed in these future developments.

You will be the "industrial strategist" of automated / robotized assembly for STELIA Aerospace, and as such your main missions will be the following:

  • To diagnose the current fleet of automated means and its weaknesses.

  • Define the corrective plan to make our resources more reliable while improving our reactivity in the curative process while waiting for the fruits of this plan.

  • Develop a long-term strategic vision of automated / robotic assembly :

o Growth of our automated assembly capabilities

o Define what needs to be automated and how

  • Propose and argue the market standards for automated, robotic or cobotic solutions and the associated developments allowing us to significantly increase our efficiency and industrial robustness (best compromise between performance, cost, simplicity, reliability).

  • Commit yourself to economic gains, productivity or maintainability of means, provide a monitoring indicator and guarantee the achievement of objectives.

  • Guarantee the load/capacity adequacy of the automated assembly means,

  • Be responsible for the budget, planning and performance of the projects under your responsibility and the automated means being acquired,

Travel will be necessary (in France and in the subsidiaries in Canada, Tunisia and Morocco about twice a month), and you must be prepared to travel accordingly.

Your main tasks will be the following:

  • Pilot or coordinate worksites to reduce costs or improve productivity or maintainability or reliability of automated means of assembly,

  • Propose and pilot the development strategy for automated assembly means,

  • Provide technology watch in the fields of automation and robotics for STELIA Aerospace,

  • Ensure technical exchanges on this field with customers and/or suppliers,

  • To define automation standards and to converge STELIA Aerospace's robot fleet towards these standards,

  • To ensure the transversal and multi-site management of the teams involved in the deployment and maintenance of automated means within the framework of a multifunctional team operation (methods, maintenance, production, preparation),

  • Contribute to innovation and participate in Research & Technology projects in coordination with STELIA Aerospace Research & Technology centres,

  • Define and update the mapping of industrial assembly means, the associated load/capacity adequacy, the associated performance objectives and the results of the associated performance indicators,

  • Define and set up an indicator for the follow-up of its projects,

  • Define the staffing level by the adequacy of activities, charges, skills for your projects.

  • Manage the budgets related to these projects,

  • Coordinate with production units, local methods departments, maintenance departments and other STELIA Aerospace departments interfacing with projects,

  • Ensure the circulation of information on your projects,

  • To represent STELIA Aerospace technically vis-à-vis customers and the group for automation topics.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Holder of a BAC+4/5 degree,

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Automation and Aeronautical Assembly Processes,

  • Knowledge of :

o The current market of automated, robotic and cobotic means (suppliers, means, trends and technological evolutions)

o The definition and implementation of automation / robotization strategy in a demanding industrial environment

  • Knowledge :

o In technical project management,

o In Functional specification of needs and drafting of specifications for automated industrial means,

o In solving complex technical problems involving automated industrial means,

o In PLC, numerical control and robot programming,

o From the Pack Office,

  • Capacity :

o of synthesis, anticipation and global analysis,

o to defend and argue your proposals at management level

o to manage & promote change,

o relations with internal customers and external partners (suppliers, institutions, etc.),

o to be a force for innovative proposals (monitoring and benchmarking),

  • Results orientation and customer satisfaction,

  • Organization and rigor,

  • Autonomy,

  • Advanced level in French and English.
