Context & Environment:

  • According new Information Management organization, based on Domain & Product Services Line (PSL) entities, Airbus Helicopters (AH) is deploying IM Project Manager role.

  • The new model is based on a complete & End to End accountability of the PSL organization regarding all related Information Management activities for a dedicated perimeter / business function. IM or Business PSL represents a Multi-Functional Team (MFT) involving resources from all necessary Airbus Helicopters organization and Lead Function

  • This role will involve some travel for business in Europe and as such, you must be able to travel accordingly.

Team & Your Mission:

  • Joining the Systems Engineering, Predictive & High Performance Computing PSL (EIIPS) part of E2E PLM domain, as IM Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

    • leading teams to deliver project(s) that involve one or more lead function (in IM or out of IM organization)

    • managing complete project scope (resources, planning, financials) and adhere to stage gate quality and AH IM control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery

    • contributing to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improve project delivery

  • As IM Project Manager, you have the complete authority to:

    • run the project on a day-to-day basis

    • verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost

    • achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case

  • As IM Project Manager, your key responsibilities are to:

    • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives than impact multiple lead function

    • Own the full project lifecycle managing all aspects of the project (business, M&T and IM) and securing the alignement of all directorates impacted by the project

    • Deliver estimates and detailed project management plan (PMP) for all phases of the project

    • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders

    • Define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested goods and services

    • Request adequate resources to achieve the project

    • Understand interdependancies between business needs, technology & operations providing the best IM approach answering the business objectives

    • Monitor project organization performance and contribute to individual performance review providing feedback to each hierarchical management line

    • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address customers expectations while maintaining alignment with AH IM strategy

    • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues

    • Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders

    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

    • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables

    • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, CIO and key stakeholders

    • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication

    • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas

    • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle

    • Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders, sponsors and university stakeholders

    • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards

    • Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline

    • Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices

    • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team

    • Provide leadership for project team building and motivating team members to achieve project goals, to adhere to their responsibilities and to cross successfully project milestones

    • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving approach and demonstrate teamwork, innovation and excellence

    • Participate on practices, templates, policies, tools & partnerships updates increasing the maturity of theses capabilities for AH organization
