Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Propulsion System Integrator for Hydrogen-Combustion Demonstrator (f/m) to join our Propulsion Engineering Department based in Toulouse, France.

Your challenges:
As part of the Engine and Nacelle Systems Integration team based in Toulouse, you will specify and co-design with Airbus suppliers, especially Engine & Nacelle systems suppliers.
You will:
Frame and solve technical challenges of the Propulsion System
You will propose design solutions and perform trade studies, steer and challenge the contributions proposed by our Suppliers
Within the ZEROe project, you will:
Interact with a large community of international stakeholders, inside Airbus (Chief Engineers, experts, flight test, production, customer support ?) and with external industrial partners such as Engine manufacturers, Nacelle manufacturers, equipment suppliers and Research Centers
be managing technically the integration of a turbomachine with the aircraft for the ZEROe H2C (H2 Combustion) configuration, supporting architecture concept studies, technical feasibility, equipment testing and the development of on-ground and in-flight demonstrator
It is key for Airbus to demonstrate feasibility of an A/C flying with engines fed by Hydrogen, in order to prepare the next generation of A/C, being Zero Emission.
In order to meet these objectives Airbus needs to tackle some challenges related to hydrogen use.
Key challenges of this new position:
Learning and developing technical knowledge about hydrogen systems within the propulsion integration team.
Being able to steer, collaborate and challenge the engine manufacturers and equipment suppliers for the hydrogen systems related topics.
Being involved in the technological maturity increase of key equipment (pumps, heat exchangers?) that shall be used in the system architecture: support definition for critical design features, qualification, testing.
Globally, the challenge for you is to support the architecture definition and the validation of an End to End hydrogen system that shall meet the performance and safety objectives for an aeronautical use. In order to do so, you will interact with many internal teams. Your technical impact shall help Airbus to lead, on one hand, the development of a flying demonstrator, and on the other hand, the definition of the final product to be put in service in the next decade.
Your boarding pass:
Graduate engineer or equivalent in aeronautics, mechanical and systems engineering
Experience in hydrogen systems/equipment development, and/or in propulsion systems integration
Competence in Systems Engineering
Strong relationship-building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills
A high degree of initiative, autonomy, innovation and open-mindedness
Strong sense of integrity and compliance with company, industry and ethical rules
Languages: Negotiation level of English ; French/German/Spanish are considered a plus
Capability to work in international context and extended enterprise environment
Additional experience or knowledge in the following would be a plus:
Propulsion Systems
System modelisation (Ex: AMESIM)
MBSE, data analytics and artificial intelligence
Project or team management
