Job Description

The Smart Rail 4.0 program places new demands on the IT systems for planning, scheduling and control of rail operations. In order to be able to implement these requirements, the existing applications must be fundamentally renewed or replaced. A key role in the new landscape is provided by the ETCS interlocking, which - in contrast to previous signal boxes - "only" performs a monitoring function and is designed to ensure the required "upgradeability" with its generic architecture.
The ETCS interlocking plays a central role in the overall architecture and is assigned to the ES program.
As a result, the ES program has the responsibility to coordinate the activities in the ETCS interlocking subprojects, to provide the necessary resources and to coordinate the development activities between the subprojects and the other programs.
The higher-level financial control as well as the consideration of the non-functional requirements (safety, security, risk, business continuity, ...) must be ensured as well as the involvement of the industry and the international committees.
In order to meet this demanding task, we are seeking support from Program Manager ES.
The support should take over both administrative tasks as well as make content-related decisions, support and coordinate.
