I am working exclusively with my manufacturing client, based in North London, to recruit the Maintenance Manager to lead the on-site team of multi-skilled engineers and technicians at their busy Manufacturing Plant. The emphasis for the successful candidate is on excellent management and organisational skills within a traditional manufacturing environment. The main purposes of this role are: to lead, motivate and develop the onsite maintenance team of Multi-skilled engineers and technicians; manage daily workload of maintenance department (planned and reactive); oversee running of maintenance function to ensure stakeholders and plant operations are supported; manage all resources related to maintenance.
This is a challenging role; the successful applicant will need to be flexible, determined and self-motivated, and technically competent. Previous experience of successfully managing a multi-skilled maintenance team within a traditional manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Regular liaison with Production Management, internal departments, sub-contractors and HR means good communication and people skills are essential.
