Maintenance Planner / Scheduling Engineer with Maximo experience

Our client is a world class manufacturer who is currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler with experience of Asset Management Systems (AMS / CMMS)- ideally IBM Maximo - to join the on-site engineering team at their busy Manufacturing Plant in Hertfordshire. Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Manager (who is based across multiple sites), the successful candidate will be responsible for representing the day to day planning and scheduling of both reactive and planned maintenance requirements across the whole plant to the project delivery team. This is a rare opportunity to be involved in the development and implementation of the new Maximo Asset Management System (AMS / CMMS) which will be tailored to the requirements of the engineering department.
Applications are invited from experienced maintenance planners and schedulers who have worked in a heavy manufacturing or high volume, process driven environments (i.e. chemical, food, agro-chemical, oil & gas, power generation, pharmaceutical, refining, FMCG or similar).
This business critical role is challenging ; the successful applicant will need to be flexible, determined and self-motivated, with a number of years\' experience in a similar maintenance planning role. Candidates must be able to demonstrate an appreciation of the tools, resources and time required for each task, in addition to the potential risks, so a technical background and experience of working out on a plant site is highly desirable. Applicants must have strong communication skills and the ability to engage and influence across all levels of the business as the role will involve working with stakeholders who often have conflicting priorities and urgent requirements, in addition to managing internal resources and contractors. Previous experience of IBM Maximo is highly desirable.
