Our client is a world class manufacturer, based in Hertfordshire, currently seeking to recruit a Shift Maintenance Team Leader to join the team of multi-skilled engineers and technicians at their busy Manufacturing Plant. The emphasis for the successful candidate is on excellent Team Leader/Supervisory Skills within a heavy manufacturing environment. Applications are invited from maintenance team leaders / supervisors / managers who have worked in high volume, process driven environments (i.e. chemical, food, agro-chemical, automotive, pharmaceutical, refining, or similar).
The purpose of this role is to ensure operational requirements of the plant are met through effective prioritisation of work, allocation of tasks, and overall leadership of the multi-disciplined and multi-skilled engineers and technicians within the team.

This is a challenging role; the successful applicant will need to be flexible, determined and self-motivated, with experience of shift work as part of a team. Previous experience of successfully leading a maintenance team within a manufacturing environment is essential. Regular liaison with Production Management, internal departments, contractors and HR means good communication and people skills are essential.
