OneWeb Satellites is OneWeb's industrial partner for the design and manufacturing of its fleet of microsatellites. This initial production of 900 satellites, each weighing less than 150 kilograms, is planned for launch into low Earth orbit end of 2019, with six first pilot satellites launched in February 2019, to deliver affordable Internet access globally. Other projects of constellation either Telecom or Earth Observation are expecting to re-use OW P/F product. Description of the job :
A vacancy for a Power and electrical unit Technical Manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus OneWeb Satellites in Toulouse.

Task & accountabilities :
Your main tasks and activities will include:

• In the frame of OW project :
a. Master technical exchanges with power equipment suppliers (Battery, power distribution units)
b. Master technical exchanges with electrical harness supplier
c. Assess complete and correct execution of supplier test plan
d. Support/Analyze tests results and provide test report synthesis in the frame of satellite Qualification review
e. Manage anomalies coming from supplier ( coming from either delta-qualification or Acceptance) in coordination with supply chain manager and supplier development manager
f. Support any satellite design change by defining component changes smooth introduction in industrial production flow

• In the frame on ARROW product (platform product) :
a. Prepare power equipment product evolution for different type of mission
b. Prepare harness and associated definition process evolution to optimize the need of adaptation for missions.
c. Define best solution on power and electrical component change taking into account development lead-time, non-recurring cost and recurring cost and industrial risks in coordination with supply chain manager.
d. Provide technical specification in the frame of a new product development or a second source launch and support supplier selection in coordination with supply chain manager

• To Power architect lead / Avionics Engineering lead

Required profile

Required skills :
Nous recherchons des candidats ayant les expériences et les compétences suivantes :

• Master degree in Electrical engineering
• 5 years' experience in Power and electrical engineering in Space industry :
• An experience in supplier follow-up / technical management is appreciated

• Demonstrated skills in :
• sub-system architecture (capacity to translate needs into specification, capacity to decline sub-system specification into component specification)
• Good knowledge of:
• Battery technology
• Analog Electronics (converters, analogic power protection components)
• Harness design and manufacturing processes
• Supplier relationships/Management
• Anomaly management methodology
• An experience in mass production will be appreciated
• Capacity to interact with different Engineering specialist
• Negotiation level in English.

• Willingness and ability to travel : 10% of time
