My client is a world class manufacturing business based in North London / Middlesex. Due to a restructuring of their on-site Engineering Maintenance Team, they have created the new role of Permit to Work (PTW) Author & Issuer. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and issuing permits for their assigned production area of the business, as well as approving associated risk assessments. In addition, the role also involves validating information provided for permits including RAMS, Isolation Certificates, etc. You will support the Contractor & Permit to Work Coordinator by conducting audits and monitoring permits issued, and providing support and guidance to others across the business regarding the writing and issuing of permits.
Applications are invited from PTW Issuers, Engineering Administrators, Project Engineers, EHS Practitioners, and others who have been involved in the writing and issuing of Permits to Work and/or RAMS in high volume, process driven, heavy manufacturing environments (i.e. agro-chemical, beverage, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, refining, or similar). Previous experience of checking that activities comply with regulatory requirements for QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety) including ISO14001, OHSAS18001, and COMAH is desirable but not essential.
This is a challenging role; the successful applicant will be flexible, determined and self-motivated. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world class manufacturer with career progression opportunity, together with a very competitive salary and excellent bonus and benefits package (totalling circa £50k).
More information is available upon application.
