Our customer has a requirement for a Supplier Quality Engineer based at a supplier in Oldham.

Candidates must have 3 years min aerospace experience and experience as a supplier quality engineer. Product is electrical so background in electrical engineering. Candidate must also have experience with AS9102 as they will be signing off FAIRs at the supplier.

We are looking for a candidate with the following capabilities

Self-starter with a desire for problem solving and process improvement

Proven experience of driving root cause with Suppliers

Proven background in Quality Assurance and thorough understanding of Quality tools and techniques

Understanding of key aerospace Quality Standards such as AS /EN 9100 and NADCAP

Good technical engineering knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings

Attention to detail and methodical approach

Professional conduct and good communication skills to influence both internally and externally

Key responsibilities:

Drive supplier quality management in line with company control procedures, and relevant regulatory standards eg AS/EN 9100/EASA Part 21(G) /145.

Drive prioritised supplier non-conformance management and root cause analysis

Ensure Quality Assurance for new and existing suppliers including audits, source inspections, First Article Inspection sign-off and change control process management.

Ensure accurate flow down of Quality requirements to suppliers throughout Product Lifecycle.
