MRO: MTU Maintenance takes charge of the Malaysia Airlines CFM56 range © Le Journal de l'Aviation - All rights reserved

MTU Maintenance has signed an exclusive 10-year maintenance contract with Malaysia Airlines Berhad for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of over 100 CFM56-7B engines until the Malaysian flag carrier's 48 Boeing 737-800s are phased out of its fleet.

This contract also covers leased engine and the management of limited lifetime parts (LLP). The inspections and services will be carried out in China by MTU Maintenance Zhuhai.
