Aeronautical Engineers won a contract initially intended for Boeing

Aeronautical Engineers (AEI) signed a conversion contract with CargoAir for two 737-800SF aircraft.

AEI specifies that the Bulgarian cargo airline initially signed agreements with Boeing for the delivery of two 737-800BCFs but that it had finally decided to cancel them (reason cited were related to AEI’s responsiveness, slot flexibility, ease of doing business and a better-priced option).
