Ecoles des Mines D'Alès

Created in 1843 to meet the needs of the mining industry, the Ecole des Mines d'Al s is now a Grande Ecole des Ingénieurs Generales, graduating 203 engineers for the year 2011.





An innovative pedagogy-action allows them to give them, in addition to a very solid scientific and technical training, the go t of entrepreneurship and the management bases that make them engineers-entrepreneurs. The School also provides specialized training in the fields of information and communication technologies as well as the environment; It has a total of 870 students.

The three research centers of the School, with 110 lecturers and researchers, carry out high-level scientific research on industrial contracts in the fields of mass media and the environment at its Al s site , And the management of complex systems on its N mes site.

Established under the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, the School is a dynamic player in economic development in its environment. Its incubator of technological companies is the first of France; It is an active partner of the Als (Al s Myriapolis) and N mes (NRCT) technopoles.
