Our History

HiRel Connectors Inc. (HIRELCO) was founded in 1967 as a small business specializing in hermetic connectors primarily for military-based applications. Throughout the years, HIRELCO has evolved into an industry leader whose expertise is in designing and manufacturing custom and MIL-SPEC interconnect products for a variety of industries. Today, the HIRELCO group employs about 310 people among five facilities in the beautiful college towns of Claremont and Pomona, California. We proudly produce 100% of our parts right here in the United States. HIRELCO's capabilities include designing, manufacturing and marketing electrical connectors, interconnect systems, specialty cables and connector accessories.

HIRELCO has been a trusted supplier in many industries since our inception. From providing the explosive bolts for the Apollo missions, to our most recent H2D High Density connectors for NASA's ORION space program, we have been an integral part of mission-critical developments and successes. HIRELCO primarily focuses on providing solutions for existing problems within various markets when standard MIL-SPEC connectors and cable assemblies are just not robust enough to maintain performance.
