IUT KOUROU

The Kourou IUT was established in 1986 by ministerial decree and opened in September 1988.
This institute, which falls under art.33 - which confers financial autonomy on it, is a pedagogical component of the University of the West Indies and Guyana (UAG) and is an integral part of the Guyanese University PUG). It is one of the top 10 IUTs in France out of a total of 112.
In addition to the Kourou campus where there are the headquarters and the central administration, the IUT has three locations:
Cayenne: D detement Marketing technique
Saint-Claude (Guadeloupe): Department of Business and Government Management and D epartment
Schoelcher (Martinique): Health and Safety and Environment and Logistics and Transport Management.

Each year, it welcomes more than 200 students, supervised by a quality teaching team composed of 19 teacher-researchers (Faculty of PU Universities, MCF Conference Masters, Temporary Attachments of Teaching and Learning Research-ATER), 12 second-level teachers (Certified Ags) and 34 professional speakers.
Administrative and technical staff (headquarters and departments), with a total of 11 staff, are located in all four sites and are composed of categories A, B and C.
