In April 2011, Securaplane was acquired by Meggitt PLC as part of a broader acquisition of Pacific Scientific Aerospace. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, Meggitt PLC is an international group operating in North America, Europe, and Asia. Known for its specialized extreme environment engineering, Meggitt is a world leader in aerospace, defense and energy markets. The Pacific Scientific Aerospace acquisition added capabilities in electrical power generation, linear motion control, safety, security, and associated repair and overhaul services to Meggitt.
