Saint Barth Commuter

St Barth Commuter was founded in late 1994 by Bruno Magras and Michel Martinon on the idea that, being a premium destination in the Caribbean, St Barts deserved to have its own air service company.

Based in sunny St Barts, the company started operation in April 1995 with 2 Britten Norman Islanders BN2A (F-OGXA and F-OGXB) purchased from the German company O.L.T. The company provided charter services mainly between St Barths and the international airport of Sint Maarten N.A.

In September 1996, Bruno Magras became the sole owner of the company.

A couple of years later, in November 1998, a third BN2A (F-OHQX) was purchased still from O.L.T.

To meet the increasing demand St Barth Commuter decided to progressively modernize the fleet, by purchasing newer models BN2B. The first one (F-OHQY) was purchased in August 2000 followed shortly by a brand new second one (F-OIJS) in July 2001.

A Piper 'Aztec' was added to the fleet in June 2002 to provide long distance flight capability. This aircraft quickly became a favorite for our clientele in need of a comfortable ride to destinations like Barbados or La Romana in the Dominican Republic.

In July 2006 a fifth BN2B (F-OIJU) was added to the fleet.
