Telecom ParisTech and its subsidiary Eurécom are part of the Mines-Télécom Institute, alongside the telecommunications schools and the mining schools

The Institut Mines-Télécom, created on 1 March 2012, replaces the former Institut Télécom after 15 years of existence and extends its scope to constitute one of the first national groups of higher education and research in the field Engineering, management and innovation. The Mines-Télécom Institute is characterized by the association of two large families: the Mines family and the Télécom family. It brings together 10 major schools under the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry as well as two subsidiaries and associated schools.

These 10 schools and their 2 subsidiaries bring together 3,600 people and 12,000 students. They train about 7% of the graduate engineers in France and carry out a very active partnership research, combining academic excellence and industry interest (1,200 publications ranked A in 2011) and have also accompanied the creation of 107 companies.
