On Saturday, 14th September hurling teams from Milwaukee and Australia touched down in Dublin Airport ahead of the Aer Lingus International Hurling Festival which takes place in Galway from September 18th -- 21st.
The twenty man strong squads, including players, coaches and supporters were greeted by a welcoming committee from host town Ballinasloe, including a group of local musicians playing traditional Irish music.
Teams from all over the world will compete over three days in venues across Galway next week. Adult tickets (U18's go free) are priced at â‚¬5, through tickets.ie and all proceeds go to the Galway Hospice. For more information: visit www.hurlingfestival.com
