Space Station Crew Discusses Life in Space with the Japanese Prime Minister

Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 39 Commander Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, NASA Flight Engineer Steve Swanson and Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin discussed life and research aboard the orbital laboratory during an in-flight event April 10 with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Japanese space officials. The event, which was hosted at the Prime Minister's residence by veteran Japanese astronaut Aki Hoshide, also featured remarks from Caroline Kennedy, the U.S. Ambassador to Japan.
