Space Station Commander Discusses Life in Space with Students from Former School

Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 50 Commander Shane Kimbrough of NASA discussed life and work aboard the orbital laboratory during an in-flight educational event Jan. 10 with students from the Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kimbrough, who launched to the station last October, graduated from the school in 1985. Kimbrough completed the first of two spacewalks Jan. 6 to help upgrade the stations power systems, the second of which is scheduled for Jan. 13.

He plans to return to Earth aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft in late February.
