A350 XWB route proving: The jetliners fourth trip

Airbus next-generation A350 XWB completed its four-trip route-proving campaign which is designed to demonstrate the aircrafts readiness for airline operations and is part of the final stage toward certification. On its fourth trip, this highly-efficient jetliner made stops in Doha, Qatar, Perth, Australia, Moscow, Russia and Helsinki, Finland to wrap up a campaign that amassed some 81,700 naut. mi. in approximately 180 flight hours. The A350 XWB performed as expected and on schedule at each destination, and is expected to achieve Type Certification in the third quarter of 2014.
