C-27J for US Coast Guard

In December 2013, the U.S. Congress authorized the United States Coast Guard to receive 14 of 21 JCAs C-27s that were divested by United States Air Force. In June 2014, the United States Coast Guard (USCG) began the phased service introduction of fourteen (14) C-27Js.

The aircraft SAR modification will proceed independently, and will allow USCG to have a medium range aircraft capable to execute search and rescue, maritime patrol, drug and migrant interdiction and disaster response missions.
