Gerry Mason Engineering Excellence Scholarship | Yasir Alrufaee

The Gerry Mason Engineering Excellence Scholarships were first set up in 2015 when the late Morson founder Gerry Mason met with the Vice Chancellor of the University of Salford to discuss his vision in supporting local, talented engineering students and to pledge £270,000 to establish the scholarship programme.

This programme allows the most gifted students to flourish irrespective of their financial backing and the scholarships are available across all disciplines of engineering.

The first students from the scholarship programme graduated in July 2018 and we spoke to one of these students, Yasir Alrufaee, about how the programme helped him.
