First 3D printed A400M titanium components

The generative manufacturing process "Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM) is since 2015 part of the production for components of the A400M.

First double-walled titanium elbows were developed for the A400M fuel system by Airbus Defence and Space in Bremen.

This new technology will change the future and create a new horizon for cost and weight savings as well as lead times.
