Finnair experts talk about the past, present and future of the airline's fleet. The interviewees also explain the process of acquiring new planes and what happens when a new airplane is delivered.
Having a modern aircraft fleet is extremely important to Finnair. Newer planes run on lower operating costs and require less fuel and maintenance. Most recently, Finnair became the first airline to adopt Airbus A321 aircraft with Sharklets, and next-generation Airbus A350s are expected to arrive in 2015.
