THE NEO: A BORN LEADER

In a key milestone for the company, Airbus delivered the first A320neo (new engine option) aircraft – an A320neo for Lufthansa during January 2016. The future of single-aisle aircraft is taking flight with Airbus' A320neo (new engine option) – creating better, more efficient ways for airlines and passengers to fly.

As the world's best-selling product line, the NEO Family continues Airbus' reputation for pioneering technical solutions and non-stop innovation. These single-aisle jetliners incorporate two new engine choices, along with the fuel-saving Sharklets wingtip devices and a further optimized passenger cabin to deliver unbeatable efficiency and comfort.

Improvements for the A320neo Family result in a per-seat fuel burn saving of 20 per cent compared to current engine option (CEO) jetliners by 2020, along with additional range, reduced engine noise and lower emissions.

With over 4,500 firm orders as of April 2016, the A320neo Family's popularity has been clearly endorsed by operators worldwide.

A NATURAL EVOLUTION

The best keeps getting better with Airbus' market-leading single-aisle product line.

Designated the NEO (new engine option) Family, Airbus is providing the minimum change with maximum benefit, incorporating two latest-generation engine choices – CFM International's LEAP-1A and the PurePower PW1100G-JM from Pratt & Whitney – along with the use of fuel-saving Sharklets wingtip devices.
As part of this enhancement to the A320 Family, Airbus also plans to increase the exit door limits for NEO jetliners, taking advantage of innovative new cabin equipment, fixtures and seat designs to deliver increased efficiency for operators, while retaining the company's modern comfort standard of 18-inch wide seats for passengers.

Comprising the A319neo, A320neo and A321neo versions, NEO Family jetliners share 95 per cent spares commonality with existing A320ceo (current engine option) aircraft.
