Advancing Sustainable Aviation Fuel

All GE Aviation jet engines can operate on approved sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) today and in the future. We are helping lead the industry to develop 100% SAF that doesnt require blending with conventional jet fuel. Developed with economic, social and environmental considerations, SAF is made from non-petroleum based sources including, plant-based materials, algae, alcohols and sugars. Compared to petroleum-based jet fuel, SAF has the potential to cut lifecycle CO2 emissions by up to 80%.
