What is the RISE program, for sustainable engines?

In 2021, CFM the joint venture between Safran and General Electric Aviation presented the ambitious RISE program, which stands for "Revolutionary Innovation for Sustainable Engines". Delphine Dijoud, RISE brand technical manager at Safran Aircraft Engines explains more about this program, which aims to achieve a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to the current engine options.
