www.beumergroup.com An economical solution was needed to transport large quantities of iron ore from the Chinese port of Langshan to the steelmaker Shandong Steel Group & Rizhao Steel Group. The general contractor Shandong Harbor Engineering had commissioned the BEUMER Group to install an additional pipe conveyor. The system provider installed a system with a length of almost 14 kilometers in just four months - making the conveyor the longest of its kind in the world. It transports around 5,500 tons of material to the plant every hour.
