Arianespace has successfully launched two satellites with an Ariane 5 on behalf of the Japanese operator SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute.

This was the third Arianespace mission so far in 2020, all successful, with three more launches coming up in March.

With this mission, which is dedicated to space-based communications and environmental monitoring in Asia, Arianespace reaffirms its strength in the export market and once again contributes to a better life on Earth.

On Tuesday, February 18 at 22:18 UTC (Universal Time Coordinates), Arianespace successfully launched two satellites using an Ariane 5 rocket from the Guiana Space Center (CSG), Europes Spaceport in French Guiana (South America): JCSAT-17 for the Japanese operator SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation, and GEO-KOMPSAT-2B for the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI).
