Leonardo's AW189K fitted with our Aneto-1K | Safran

Leonardos AW189K will be the first helicopter to feature our Aneto engine. The first 2,500 shp Aneto-1K model has been selected by the Italian company to power its twin-engine AW189K helicopter. The maiden flight of an Aneto-1K fitted to a AW189K helicopter has taken place in March 2017. Almost 3 years later (december 2019), Safran Helicopter Engines received EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Type Certification for its Aneto-1K engine.
