Inside Sales Account Executive

My client is a world class Hertfordshire based manufacturer. An opportunity has arisen to appoint an Inside Sales Account Executive to join their in-house UK Sales Team. Based at their manufacturing site in Hertfordshire, this role will involve delivering outstanding service to customers predominantly in the UK and European marketplace. This will include preparing quotations, processing sales orders, handling customer queries and resolving any arising issues.

Applications are invited from Sales Account Executives, Sales Assistants, Sales Co-ordinators, Technical Sales Engineers, Technical Specialists, Product Specialists, as well as R&D Engineers and Scientists who are striving to develop a career that is commercially focused. Candidates will ideally be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject or have significant sales and customer managing experience. Applicants must have at least one year\'s experience of supporting sales (including telephone / telesales / email) and be motivated to succeed. Candidates who are currently and/or have previously worked within sectors that focus on the application of materials, coatings, glass, metals, ceramics or chemicals are likely to be of particular interest. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role. Equally as important is the ability to work well in a team.

Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and have a high level of numeracy in order to be comfortable making precise mathematical calculations for quotations and negotiations. You must have a proven track record of developing and maintaining professional working relationships with both internal and external customers. Applicants with the ability to communicate in at least one foreign language fluently - in particular, European languages such as French, German, Spanish, Italian or Eastern European languages, are of significant interest. This role will mostly be office-based but may involve both domestic and overseas travel to visit colleagues and customer sites for meetings on occasions, so a driving licence and passport are highly desirable.
