ATR extends its maintenance intervals

ATR has managed to improve the availability of its planes even more. On 25th February, the aircraft manufacturer announced that it had obtained EASA certification enabling it to extend the intervals between Type A maintenance checks. These inspections, which are currently at 500 hours, now increase to 750 hours.

ATR estimates that airlines which operate twin-engined turboprop aircraft - as all series which are covered by this certification - will save one day's operation every 1 500 flyin...(…)
