Maintenance of the aviation industry - Insights into MTU Hannover

MTU is not only the largest German engine manufacturer, but is also successful in the international OEM business. 

This video therefore gives a brief insight into the process handling of the maintenance centre in Hanover. 

The V2500 is the strongest programm in civil aviation, powering the Airbus A319, A320, A321 - and also the McDonnell Douglas MD-90. It has been maintained by MTU Hannover since 1989 and by MTU Maintenance Zhuhai, China, since 2003. More than 3,000 engines have now been overhauled, representing a market share of 40 percent.

That's why all processes at Maintenance Hannover are geared to this goal. Naturally, we are keen to continuously optimize our work processes. For example, we work with self-developed repair techniques that can even achieve a longer service life after overhaul.
