A vacancy for a digital electronic designer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Elancourt. As the successful candidate you will join the digital electronic department for the development of space equipment.

This department counts around 40 designers dedicated to the design of digital electronic equipment for satellite platforms, science probes and launchers. Main mission will be the design, justification and characterization of electronic boards in team with FPGA and software designers from the department.

Activities will require a strong collaboration with many professions outside the digital lab among which we can find analog designers, design office (for PCB layout and thermal and mechanical analysis) and architects.

Potential evolutions include technical leader allowing to handle the responsibility of an entire equipment and all the associated technical domains.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

The candidate must have French nationality in compliance with the article 65 of the IGI 1300 (30/11/2011)

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

Feasibility analysis

Detailed design (specifications and schematics)

Writing of justification files

Validation by simulation or characterization

Investigation and operation of equipments

This role will involve occasional travel for business in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

Educated to master degree level (or equivalent) in Electronics or a related discipline.

Experience in embedded electronics

Capacity to follow strict design rules and standards

Good communication skills and ability to clearly present results

Strong involvement, good organisation, team spirit, anticipation

Language Skills: advanced level of French and English
