The company has been present in France for over 100 years, employing more than 3,00 people at 9 sites in the Ile-de-France, Normandy, Burgundy and Occitanie regions. Collins Aerospace is one of three RTX divisions.

Collins' Avionics and Mission Systems divisions have been present in France since 1959, designing, developing and producing innovative, high-integrity solutions for its aerospace and defense customers. As the Collins Aerospace Group's center of excellence in the fields of avionics (flight control, communication and navigation, flight safety) and communications solutions (from very low frequencies to satellite communications), Collins Aerospace supports its customers in Europe and worldwide throughout the product life cycle, from the Research and Development (R&D) phases through to operation, drawing on the expertise of its engineering, program management, production, distribution and maintenance teams.

The Blagnac site, headquarters of the "Avionics" division in France, has an Aeronautical Maintenance Center with 180 employees, and repairs avionics equipment for the world's leading aircraft manufacturers, major airlines and defense ministries.
