The main objective of the Ecole des Mines d'Albi-Carmaux is to train multi-purpose engineers (in undergraduate or adult education) in response to the needs of industry, with a core emphasis on Process engineering.
The usual duration of the course is four years (admission after one year of preparatory studies) but it is also possible to be admitted directly into second or third year.
We also offer an opportunity to become an engineer in pharmacy , allowing 5th year pharmacy students following industrial pharmacy courses to join the 3rd year of the engineering course and thus obtain a double diploma as a pharmacist-engineer.
In response to the needs of industry, the School has developed a professional Master in the field of sustainable development (biomass and waste for clean energy) in conjunction with industrial partners.
Furthermore, in partnership with regional universities and engineering Schools, our students have the opportunity, in their last two years of study, to follow research Master courses which will allow them to embark on doctoral studies.
The School's laboratories already train about twenty PhD students per year in Process engineering specialties.
Because our training is highly appropriate to the current needs of industry, our engineering graduates and doctors find it easier to enter professional life.
