Cummins X12 N + Endurant HD N integrated natural gas powertrain

The ISX12N continues the evolution of emissions-leading natural gas engines from Cummins.
Certified to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Optional Low NOx emissions standard of 0.02 g/bhp-hr, it has 90% fewer NOx emissions than the current EPA standard. With 400 horsepower, 1,450 lb.-ft. of torque, and near-zero emissions, the ISX12N is well suited for heavy-duty regional-haul truck fleets.

The Endurant HD N automated transmission is intelligently engineered to be lightweight and fuel efficient. GearLogic features improve performance, fuel efficiency, and driver confidence. The transmission has a 750,000-mile lube change interval and maintenance-free 430mm self-adjust clutch to lower the cost of ownership. IntelliConnect remote diagnostics reduces unplanned downtime and gets you back on the road faster. And it's backed by the Support, Solutions & Expertise of the Roadranger® network.

This powertrain has significantly improved launch & low speed maneuverability compared to previous automated transmissions thanks to new software to improve launch, engine torque control/reserve via spark timing, a new diaphragm spring clutch and control software. Shifts are smooth because torque control/reserve via spark timing reduces shift time and new control logic during shifts.
