Today Alcoa announced another key #infrastructure project this time to boost production at its Mosjøen smelter in #Norway. The announced $51 million project will increase production capacity at Mosjøen by 14,000 metric tons per year (mtpy). Amperage to the sites two potlines will be increased via improved electrical infrastructure, including the installation of new high voltage cabling and switching equipment. The planned investment will also improve the sites existing anode production processes.
