Re-enactment of the first ever Qantas air mail flight in 1922

"Jolly good, the post is here! "

On November 2, 1922, the first ever Qantas air mail flight took to the skies to deliver 106 letters from Charleville to Cloncurry on behalf of Australia Post - then known as the Postmasters-General Department.

100 years later we reenacted this historic journey for Qantas, delivering another 106 handwritten letters along the same route, this time written by Charleville Primary students to their peers over 800km away in Cloncurry.
