We know you travel for a variety of reasons. For many, travel may not be on your mind at the moment, while for others, travel is essential. Over the next week, we'll be sharing some measures we're taking to keep you safe on your journey for whenever the time comes for you to travel again.

We recommend downloading our app so you can check-in on your device and use your mobile boarding pass. When youre ready to board, remember to practice physical distancing. Well take your temperature, check that you have your mask for the flight, and ask you a few health-related questions.

Our Cargo team has been working diligently to ensure that the shipping of essential products continues during this global pandemic. This past weekend, we operated two cargo charters carrying essential medical supplies out of Dublin on our 787 Dreamliners.

During this time, the need for blood across Canada remains strong. Every day, as one of @canadaslifeline cargo carriers, we transport approximately 300 kilograms of blood products to cities coast to coast, including Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Ottawa, Regina, St. Johns, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver.

This weekend, we operated repatriation flights to bring over 500 Canadians home from Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, San Salvador, El Salvador and Havana, Cuba in collaboration with @gacanada.amcanada

Thank you to our incredible crews who continue to ensure Canadians get home safely from all over the world.

During this time of uncertainty, were continuing to bring Canadians home from around the world. Between March 23 and March 25, 2020 we will operate 34 repatriation flights from international destinations to ensure the safe return of WestJet guests and Canadians who remain abroad.

Today, Prime Minister Trudeau made an explicit declaration to all Canadians abroad that it is time to come home. Based on this statement and the recommendations to Canadians to control the spread of COVID-19, we will be suspending our commercial operations for all international and transborder flights on Sunday, March 22 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

While this is a difficult time, we now have the responsibility as your caring Canadian airline to bring our citizens home.

To mark International Womens Day, WestJet flight 1516 and WestJet Encore flight 3163 are operating with all-female crews. Were proud to support the many achievements and contributions of our female workforce. #IWD2020 #WestJet
